Resources & Services for ACR Chapters

Access valuable resources to support chapter management and membership efforts.

Chapter Portal

The ACR developed the Chapter Portal to facilitate communication between the College and its chapters, to expedite the work of chapter leaders and to ease communications among the chapters. Those with access can download chapter membership data, access resources from the College, start and participate in discussions via a discussion board accessible by all users, email chapter leaders in other states, email chapter members, and more.

Access to the Chapter Portal is granted for the duration of the chapter officer, executive staff, councilor, alternate councilor and membership chair’s terms. Users should utilize the single user sign-on in order to access the Chapter Portal.

Chapter Leader Education

  •  Chapter Leaders Workshop  The Chapter Leaders Workshop at the ACR Annual Meeting is an opportunity to network with peers and discuss common relevant issues as well as discover new and innovative ways to grow and serve your chapter membership.
ACR Chapter and Member Engagement staff are available to assist you with any questions about your leadership role. For further information, contact Katie Kuhn at 800-227-5463, ext. 5785.

Membership Reports and Rosters

Through the ACR membership database, the membership services department offers a series of reports to assist chapters in maintaining an accurate membership database and to support chapter member retention efforts. Your chapter information is available to you via the Chapter Portal. You can access a variety of rosters, including an officer roster and rosters by practice and specialty.

Member Contact Information

Mailing and email addresses included with your chapter reports in the Chapter Portal can be downloaded and used to communicate with your members. The information available is limited to your own membership and may be used solely for conducting chapter business.

Membership Dues Billing

The ACR dues billing service allows chapters to take advantage of ACR resources for preparing and distributing invoices, dues collection and record keeping. The College charges a modest fee for this service.

Legal Assistance

The ACR Legal Department is available to provide general information on a variety of issues to ACR members and their attorneys. Chapter leaders may turn to the ACR Legal Department for:

  • Referrals to local attorneys
  • General questions about nonprofit organization and incorporation
  • General questions about bylaws
  • General questions about antitrust issues and other corporate matters

State Legislative Services

The ACR state government relations program addresses legislative and regulatory trends across the country and assists chapters with specific state legislative and regulatory initiatives and strategies. A committee is dedicated to state government relations and The Voice of Radiology blog provides members with state government relations information. To learn more, contact Eugenia Brandt-Krimer at 800-227-5463, ext. 4398.

Chapter Visitation Program

The ACR Chapter and Member Engagement team can provide a speaker to attend your chapter meeting to highlight emerging issues and recent ACR activities. The College assumes the expenses for one visitor, per chapter, per year. To use this service, submit a speaker request form and provide complete details for your chapter meeting. For additional information contact or call 800-227-5463, ext. 4682.

Virtual Chapter Meetings

The ACR recognizes the hardships that chapters are facing during these unprecedented times. As opportunities for meeting in person and conducting chapter business have been limited during the pandemic, we want to offer support. In order to facilitate essential chapter business, foster collaboration among chapter leaders and members, and connect chapters with ACR leaders, the ACR will provide each chapter with support for one virtual meeting between now and June 30, 2022. Chapters will develop and facilitate their own half-day meeting using an ACR-provided meeting platform and technical support (details below).

               Meeting Support Includes:

  • Zoom Meeting platform to host up to 300 members
  • Staff support for a half-day meeting (up to 4 hours)
  • Polling capability – utilizing built-in Zoom feature
  • Pre-meeting practice/meeting run through with ACR team

Note: Additional requests for virtual meeting support will be considered on a case-by-case basis and may incur a fee for service.

If your chapter would like to take advantage of this ACR Support for Virtual Meetings, please complete the Speaker Request & Meeting Profile form.
