Did You Know?

Dr. Canon has been married for 24 years and met Malcolm during her third year of medical school. He was her intern on her medicine rotation. They were apart for three years when he transitioned to Baton Rouge for emergency medicine training and she came to UAB for radiology residency. Together, they have two kids, Olivia and Evan, two cats—which Dr. Canon doesn’t really like—and a dog, Domino. All recues (except the kids).

Dr. Canon and family head for the beach most weekends. Two favorite beach pastimes involve outdoors, music, and favorite beverages: the beach and porch swinging. She alternates between the two.

They are becoming campers, and Dr. Canon has been honing her campfire cooking skills. Also with beverages.

Favorite beverages: anything with EtOH. Seriously, craft bourbon, IPA, cabernet, and certain margaritas.

Dr. Canon loves to watch football, college and pro. And her best rainy day is spent in pajamas, on the couch, watching football.
