I’ve enjoyed painting since I was a kid but really got into the hobby more seriously after retirement. I went to Ethiopia to serve in a mission hospital as a volunteer radiologist for five years, from 2013 to 2018, and my interest in art never stopped there.

My previous solo exhibitions were in Ethiopia, France and Korea, and I was recently invited to solo exhibit at the Palette & Chisel Academy of Fine Arts in Chicago. This two-part show included paintings I created in Ethiopia as well as recent paintings from my time in Chicago. Many friends and artists attended to view and enjoy the paintings.

I am now excited to showcase my paintings in September at another solo exhibition at the Asan Medical Center in Seoul, South Korea.
