ACR Strengthens Accreditation, Security Usability and Efficiency

Pricing Structure to Be Updated and Streamlined

To improve American College of Radiology® (ACR®) Accreditation value and customer experience, the College continues to modernize ACR Accreditation systems to strengthen security, usability and efficiency. To enable these improvements, pricing will be updated July 1. For most modalities, this will be the first fee change in a decade.

Staying ahead of an ever-changing security landscape, the ACR is working toward Health Information Trust Alliance (HITRUST) certification, implementing rigorous controls to protect sensitive information, including a more secure login process with multi-factor authentication.

These efforts build on the new ACR Accreditation system, launched in 2022, and an updated ACR Accreditation website that includes many features to simplify the accreditation process and improve user experience.

Overall, fees will increase approximately 9% for all modalities except mammography and radiation oncology. Breast MRI accreditation will become a module under the larger MRI accreditation program, lowering the cost to sites.

ACR Continues to Offer Accreditation Discounts

When a single practice site location applies for three or more modalities (excluding mammography), it will receive a 10-percent discount on the final calculated fee for that site. In addition, the ACR offers multi-site, multi-unit pricing discounts starting at 15% for practices with 11 or more locations. For details regarding multi-site, multi-unit pricing discounts for large practices submit a support ticket using the subject line “discount request.”
