The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) released the calendar year (CY) 2021 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule (MPFS) final rule Dec. 1. The American College of Radiology® (ACR®) is very disappointed in CMS’s decision to implement the evaluation and management (E/M) policy which will result in significant reimbursement cuts to specialties that do not perform E/M services, including radiology. ACR staff have prepared this preliminary summary of the final rule.
