The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) issued Change Request (CR) 12482 Oct. 29 containing coding revisions to various National Coverage Determinations (NCD) effective Oct. 1, 2021.
Modifications include the following NCDs:
- NCD 220.13 Percutaneous Image-Guided Breast Biopsy - Medicare administrative contractors (MACs) are instructed to add ICD-10 diagnosis code C84.7A Anaplastic large cell lymphoma, ALK-negative, breast.
- NCD220.4 Mammograms - The CR instructs the MACs add ICD-10 diagnosis code C84.7A Anaplastic large cell lymphoma, ALK-negative, breast.
- NCD220.6.17 PET for Solid Tumors - CMS instructs MACs to add ICD-10 diagnosis codes:
- C56.3 Malignant neoplasm of bilateral ovaries.
- C79.63 Secondary malignant neoplasm of bilateral ovaries.
- C84.7A Anaplastic large cell lymphoma, ALK-negative, breast.
