Groups and individuals using the American College of Radiology® National Radiology Data Registry Qualified Clinical Data Registry (QCDR) to report Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) performance data can now access the MIPS Participation Portal CMS Submission tab to finalize and transmit data to CMS.
The deadline to submit 2020 MIPS data to CMS is Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at 8pm ET.
The CMS Submission tab allows users to select Quality measures, Improvement Activities and Promoting Interoperability measures (if applicable). Once a user has finalized their selections, each performance category can be submitted to CMS by clicking the “Submit to CMS” button next to the TIN or NPI for which they are reporting. Users can also click the “View Score” button once a category has been submitted to see a preliminary score for their 2020 MIPS performance.
For users who intend to apply for an exemption from 2020 MIPS participation, please see the 2020 MIPS Automatic Extreme and Uncontrollable Circumstances Policy fact sheet for more information.
The MIPS Participation Portal is also open for any users who wish to begin submitting 2021 quality measure data; for more information about available MIPS and QCDR measures, visit the ACR MIPS QCDR page.
