ACR Resource Page Outlines Information Blocking Provision

The April 5, 2021 “applicability date” of the information blocking provision is fast approaching, yet implementation by the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) remains as incomplete as ever with many unanswered questions and still-missing enforcement rules.

The newly released American College of Radiology® (ACR®) Information Blocking resource page educates radiologists about the information blocking provision from the 21st Century Cures Act Section 4004. It includes radiology-specific frequently asked questions and links to first-party information from HHS.

The resource list and FAQ will be updated regularly as future HHS guidance documents and enforcement rules are made available. View the page on acr.org.
