The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) released its 2023 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule (MPFS) Proposed Rule July 7. The American College of Radiology® (ACR®) has prepared a radiology-specific preliminary summary of the proposed rule, which proposes a $33.08 PFS conversion factor in 2023, a $1.53 decrease from the 2022 PFS.
CMS in its press release says the proposed rule significantly expands access to behavioral health services, accountable care organizations, cancer screening and dental care. The agency also created a 2023 MPFS fact sheet.
