On Feb. 19, President Biden announced Chiquita Brooks-LaSure as his nomination to serve as Administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
Chiquita Brooks-LaSure has more than 20 years of experience in health policy, including experience as Director for Policy at the Center for Consumer Information and Insurance Oversight within CMS and at the Department of Health and Human Services as Director of Coverage Policy. As a policy official, Brooks-LaSure played a key role in guiding the passage and implementation of the Affordable Care Act.
Brooks-LaSure is currently a Managing Director at Manatt.
