ACR Detailed MPFS Final Rule Summary Covers Payment Policies

On Dec. 1, 2020, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) released the 2021 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule (MPFS) final rule. In this rule, CMS describes changes to payment provisions effective Jan. 1, 2021. In addition, policies for implementation of the fifth year for the Quality Payment Program — the Merit-Based Incentives Payment System and Advanced Alternative Payment Models are also discussed in this rule.
