A 25-year-old male presents to the emergency department with a 4-day history of sharp, constant, pleuritic right-sided chest pain that localizes below the right pectoralis muscle. In the emergency department, the patient’s physical examination, including a cardiopulmonary examination, is unremarkable. Troponin I and D-dimer levels are within normal limits.
