The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) requests public comments to inform development of a standard of practice for VA-employed therapeutic medical physicists (TMPs). The deadline for public comments on TMPs is May 15.

Requests specific to other healthcare occupations are expected in the future.

American College of Radiology® (ACR®) members interested in providing the College with input regarding the VA's request for information should contact Michael Peters, ACR Government Affairs Director, who staffs the ACR Commission on Medical Physics-Government Relations Committee.

    The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) recently released its final National Coverage Determination Reconsideration for Beta Amyloid Positron Emission Tomography in Dementia and Neurodegenerative Disease.
