New York State Radiological Society
About Us
The New York State Radiological Society, Inc. (NYSRS) serves as the New York State Chapter of the American College of Radiology®. Founded in 1953 as the "Radiological Society of the State of New York," it originated from a group of X-ray physicians seeking to strengthen their professional and ethical standing. Today, the organization has grown into a robust network of more than 1,200 members across the state.
In accordance with our By-Laws, the purposes of this Society reflect those of the American College of Radiology: (1) to advance the science of radiology and enhance radiologic services for patients; (2) to study the socioeconomic aspects of radiology practice; (3) to promote ongoing education for radiologists and allied professionals; and (4) to establish and uphold high medical and ethical standards in radiology and related fields.
