The American College of Radiology® (ACR®) submitted comments to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Dec. 22, about the 2024 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule final rule.

One of the issues addressed in the College’s comments relates to practice expense data (PE) collection and methodology. CMS has been working toward updating practice expense inputs and reviewing their PE methodology. ACR encouraged CMS to wait for the final American Medical Association report on their PE survey and that any proposed changes to the PE methodology be discussed in future rulemaking.
