The American College of Radiology® (ACR®) partnered with the American Medical Association (AMA) to create advocacy resources for physicians and patients to fight against non-physician scope of practice expansion.

The Education Matters wheel serves as a great reminder to elected officials and their staff about the vast differences between physicians (MD/DO) and non-physician practitioners (NPPs).

Scope of practice is one of the leading issues that state legislatures address. To stay current on state legislative developments relevant to radiology, view the ACR policy map and ACR resources about scope of practice. The ACR also partners with Fiscal Note, a legislation and regulation tracking service, to provide continuous, comprehensive developments relevant to radiology.

To receive an Education Matters wheel, or for more information about state legislative issues, contact Eugenia Brandt, ACR Senior Government Affairs Director, or Dillon Harp, ACR Senior State Government Relations Specialist.
