Read moreThe ACR® Metrics Committee asks radiologists and other stakeholders to review and comment on the proposed specifications for a new clinical quality measure Use of NI-RADS Reporting in Post-Treatment Head and Neck Cancer Imaging Reports. Public comments are vital in helping ACR shape measures for potential inclusion in its Qualified Clinical Data Registry (QCDR) as well as CMS’ Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS).
The intention of this new quality measure is to assess whether radiology reports for patients with a history of head and neck squamous cell carcinoma include a dedicated section documenting the primary site and lymph nodes using NI-RADS categories or similar terminology as well as an impression with corresponding recommendations.
To view the full measure specifications and participate in the public comment period, begin the survey. Responses are due Friday, April 3.
If you have questions about the draft specifications or the public comment period, contact Zach Smith, ACR Senior Quality Programs Specialist.
