ACR Notice on Iodinated Contrast Media Access
Contrast supply is mostly stable, but high demand causes variability; ACR urges ordering only what’s needed.
Read moreMonica Bertagnolli, MD, the new director of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), and Robert Califf, MD, commissioner of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, this week focused on clinical trials and efficiencies, and data management during presentations at the Friends of Cancer Research annual meeting in Washington, DC.
Dr. Bertagnolli emphasized the importance of designing evidence to bring the doctor and patient together in decision-making events and seeing the clinical care environment as a learning laboratory. She also highlighted the federal government’s need to increase enrollment in clinical trials to expand opportunities for patient access and diversity. The topic of clinical trials is of interest to the American College of Radiology® (ACR®), as ACR has been fortunate to partner with NIH, specifically in the National Cancer Institute’s clinical trials network.
A recording of the meeting is available online.
