Timothy L. Swan, MD, FACR, was elected president of the American College of Radiology® (ACR®) during ACR 2025, the College’s annual meeting in Washington, DC. Johnson B. Lightfoote, MD, FACR, was elected ACR vice president. Kurt A. Schoppe, MD, was elected ACR Council speaker, and Eric M. Rubin, MD, FACR, was elected Council vice speaker.

ACR President Timothy L. Swan, MD, FACR

Swan is a diagnostic and vascular radiologist at Marshfield Medical Center, Marshfield, WI. He is a member of the ACR Board of Chancellors and ACR’s delegate to the American Medical Association (AMA) Scope of Practice Partnership Steering Committee. He is a former AMA Current Procedural Terminology® (CPT®) Editorial Panel member and AMA CPT Burgess Gordon Memorial Award — CPT Advisor of the Year recipient. Swan is a past speaker of the ACR Council and past president of the Wisconsin Radiological Society.

Vice President Johnson B. Lightfoote, MD, FACR

Lightfoote is medical director of the Department of Radiology at Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center, Pomona, CA. He is outgoing chair of the ACR Commission on Outreach and Professional Opportunity, and past chair of the ACR Committee for Diversity and Inclusion.

Speaker of the Council Kurt A. Schoppe, MD

Schoppe is president of Radiology Associates of North Texas. He is outgoing ACR Council vice speaker and is a past member of the Council Steering Committee. Schoppe is former chair of the Reimbursement Committee under the ACR Commission on Economics, and a former alternate and lead advisor to the American Medical Association/Specialty Society Relative Value Scale Update Committee (RUC) on behalf of the ACR Commission on Economics.

ACR Council Vice Speaker Eric M. Rubin, MD, FACR

Rubin, a practicing radiologist at the Ochsner Clinic in New Orleans, is outgoing chair of the ACR Commission on Human Resources and an outgoing member of the ACR Board of Chancellors. He is a past member of the ACR Council Steering Committee and currently serves as a member of the ACR Economics Commission and as the ACR CPT Advisor to the American Medical Association CPT Editorial Panel.
