Dillon Harp, ACR Senior State Government Relations Specialist, led the session. He explained how doctors can influence public policy and why advocacy matters in daily clinical practice. He also shared ways residents can stay involved and gave an overview of key healthcare issues ACR is tracking at the state level.
Harp highlighted ACR resources that help physicians follow state policy and provide guidance to speak up about issues that affect patient access, quality and safety.
Residents and fellows receive free ACR membership during training. Early career physicians also qualify for discounted dues for their first four years after training. Learn more about ACR membership.
