ACR Backs Ultrasound Guidance for Trigger Point Care
ACR urges Medicare to cover ultrasound guidance for highârisk trigger point injections to improve safety and accuracy.
Read moreACR® recently sent a letter opposing Ohio Senate Bill 324, a bill that would expand the scope of practice for certified nurse practitioners (CNPs) and physician assistants (PAs) by exempting them from some profession-specific licensure requirements and allowing them to supervise limited-license X-ray personnel.
ACR opposes SB 324 because of the patient safety risks and because CNPs and PAs lack specific radiologic training. The bill is also opposed by the Ohio Radiological Society and other physician and non-physician groups.
