Course Overview
Please note: This course is undergoing redesign and development. Please check back later for 2025 course dates.
This three-day, intensive and practical course on abdominal and pelvic MR image interpretation will focus on the most common current indications for abdominal and pelvic MR — imaging of the liver, pancreas, pelvis and kidneys. It is intended to educate a variety of radiologists, from the general radiology practitioner to the moderately advanced MRI expert.
In contrast to passive lectures, participants will be provided their own workstation to review actual patient abdominal MRI studies and to analyze the findings within a formalized reporting structure. You will also have the option to review and discuss the findings with expert teaching faculty.
At the conclusion of this course, you will be able to:
- Interpret at least 100 patient cases.
- List the protocol expertise for acquiring a comprehensive examination within a 20-minute scan time.
- Describe the rationale for the acquisition methods that show specific aspects of particular pathologies.
- Identify and develop expertise in the diagnostic evaluation of a range of liver tumors and diffuse liver disease, gall bladder diseases and diseases of the bile ducts; pancreatic malignancies and diffuse pancreatic disease; renal malignancies; abdominal vascular, retroperitoneal and peritoneal disease; and pathologies of the male and female pelvis.

Self-paced review with immediate feedback of a large number and variety of cases is a very effective teaching method.
Revolutionary format! Outstanding faculty! I learned an order of magnitude more than I have ever reaped from any lecture-based course.
