Learning Objectives

After completing this activity, the participant should be better able to:

Understand the current role of radiopharmaceuticals in cancer therapy and the steps to take a multidisciplinary approach to starting a radiopharmaceutical program at your institution.
Recognize the perspective and priorities of health system leaders during a time of health care transformation and how radiologists can find common ground to stay empowered to provide the best possible patient care.
Identify the key legislative and policy issues impacting the radiology profession and proven strategies for relationship building and legislative engagement at both state and federal levels.
Outline critical regulatory information on procedures and guidelines and how technology is creating new opportunities to analyze and share information to enhance the practice of radiology.
Understand trends as consolidation of radiology practices continues and how practices and institutions are adapting to these changes and resulting workforce shortage challenges.

Credit Designation Statement

The American College of Radiology designates this live activity for a maximum of 6.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

In order to successfully complete the activity, participants must complete an activity evaluation and claim credit commensurate with their participation in the activity. Join this interactive open microphone session for a discussion on the evolving radiology workforce landscape. Attendees are invited to share experiences, challenges, and innovative approaches shaping how radiology services are staffed and delivered today.

Topics may include, but are not limited to, the growing role of independent contractors, radiology group alliances, cross-coverage and internal and external moonlighting arrangements, and the integration of part-time and semi-retired radiologists. Whether you’re navigating staffing shortages, exploring flexible work models, or planning for long-term workforce sustainability, this session provides a collaborative forum to learn from peers across the field.
