As many state legislative sessions are wrapping up, now is the perfect time to recharge and learn about how residents can become involved in advocacy.
The American College of Radiology® (ACR®) Resident Advocacy 101 program is an hour-long webinar led by ACR government relations staff and state radiological society leaders that educates radiology residents about how to become involved in advocating for patients and the profession. The program features presentations explaining how to get involved in both state and federal advocacy.
To date, more than 15 radiology residency programs have participated in the Resident Advocacy 101 program. As the landscape of healthcare continues to change, the need for physician-led advocacy will remain paramount and early involvement is key.
Program directors and state chapter leaders interested in bringing this program to residents in your state should reach out to Dillon Harp, ACR Senior Government Relations Specialist.
