The E. Stephen Amis, Jr., MD, Fellowship in Quality and Safety provides an opportunity for up to three residents in diagnostic radiology, interventional radiology, integrated interventional and diagnostic radiology, and radiation oncology to discover insights and gain experience with the ACR® Department of Quality and Safety.

You will learn about ACR work to promote and support quality and safety (Q&S) and how you can become involved and lead these efforts over the course of your career. Eligibility

Candidates must be second-, third- or fourth-year residents in diagnostic radiology, interventional radiology, integrated interventional and diagnostic radiology, and radiation oncology. International candidates (with the exception of Canadian members) are not eligible.

Fellowship Highlights

  • One week in Spring/Fall: Fellows will travel to the ACR Headquarters in Reston VA to spend a week meeting with each other and meeting key ACR staff and leaders. Fellows will obtain direct exposure to the functions, programs and initiatives of the Department of Quality and Safety (Q&S) and other areas at the ACR. The timing will be coordinated based on the availability of the selected Fellows.
  • Two Evening Sessions in Spring Prior to ACR Annual Meeting: Participate in the Spring virtual Reference Committee session to gain experience in the annual practice parameter – ACR Council Approval Cycle
  • Spring: Attend the ACR Annual Meeting
  • Optional in Fall: Attend the annual Quality and Safety + Informatics Conference
