Standardized Tool for the Assessment of Radiology Students (STARS)

The Standardized Tool for the Assessment of Radiology Students (STARS) is a joint initiative by the Alliance of Medical Student Educators in Radiology (AMSER) and the American College of Radiology^® (ACR^®). It offers medical schools a national, web-based database of question items and an exam system designed to assess students' performance throughout their radiology courses.

Instructors have the flexibility to design and administer their web-based exams using a comprehensive bank of multiple-choice questions, or they can choose from exams created and vetted by AMSER. The STARS editorial committee is responsible for reviewing and refining the questions as well as developing standardized exams.

How to Participate

We are excited to be moving to a new platform that will provide an improved experience for our users. During the migration, registration for STARS will be temporarily unavailable to any new programs.
