White House Moves to Challenge State AI Laws
White House orders review of state AI laws, pushes for a national framework; agencies may withhold funds over conflicting rules.
Read moreThe American College of Radiology® (ACR®) issued a call to action urging members to contact their U.S. representative and senators and encourage them to support House Resolution (H.R.) 879, the Medicare Patient Access and Practice Stabilization Act.
Reps. Greg Murphy, MD (R-NC), Jimmy Panetta (D-CA) and eight other representatives from both the Republican and Democrat parties introduced H.R. 879 Jan. 31. The legislation would add 6.62% to the Medicare Physician Fee Schedule conversion factor for the remainder of 2025 if passed by Congress and signed into law by President Trump; it would take effect April 1.
ACR is advocating for H.R. 879 to be included in the March continuing resolution being developed by lawmakers to fund the government.
