ACR Presents CPT Code Changes for Emerging Imaging Tools
ACR and partner societies proposed CPT updates for quantitative CT and AI risk scoring, but the AMA panel requested resubmission for refinement.
Read moreThe American College of Radiology® (ACR®) launched three surveys to collect physician work information for five new or revised radiology current procedural terminology (CPT®) codes.
This data will be presented at the September 2025 American Medical Association/Specialty Society Relative Value Scale Update Committee (RUC) meeting in Chicago.
The surveys pertain to the following code families:
The surveys were randomly distributed to ACR members. These are multispecialty surveys; If you receive a survey for the same code(s) from a different participating specialty society, please only complete one of them. Survey responses for each code family will be aggregated for comprehensive analysis. The data will be used to make time and value recommendations to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, with final values to be published in the 2027 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule.
If you have questions or for more information, contact Stephanie Le, ACR Director, Economics and Health Policy, or Anita Wilkie, ACR Senior Economic Policy Analyst.
