The American College of Radiology® (ACR®) is pleased to announce that Ezequiel Silva III, MD, FACR, FSIR, FRBMA, RCC has been reappointed as the American Medical Association (AMA)/Specialty Society RVS Update Committee (RUC) Chair.

Dr. Silva is a member of the board of directors for the South Texas Radiology Group, medical director of radiology at the Methodist Texsan Hospital and an adjunct professor at UT Health-Long School of Medicine, San Antonio. He is the immediate past Chair of the ACR Commission on Economics.

Dr. Silva has been immersed in the RUC process since 2009, when he served as a RUC Advisor for ACR, and subsequently advanced to the role of Radiology RUC Panel member. He has exhibited incredible diplomacy and commitment in his role as RUC Chair, showcasing his vast knowledge of the RUC, other payment systems and the Medicare Physician Fee Schedule.

In addition, his calm and steadfast leadership style has been met with much praise and respect from RUC Panel members and AMA staff.
