ACR Strategizes for 2026 State Legislative Sessions
ACR joined other medical societies at the AMA State Legislative Roundtable to discuss policies that impact practices and patient care.
Read moreThe American College of Radiology Association® (ACRA®), in response to interest expressed by state radiological societies, extended the deadline for state radiological societies to apply for Scope of Practice (SOP) grants. The updated deadline for grant applications is Feb. 28.
This extension provides state societies with extra time to formalize their strategic advocacy plans once their respective state legislative sessions begin.
Last year, the American College of Radiology® (ACR®) tracked non-physician scope of practice expansion legislation in 23 states, and ACR state government relations staff anticipates similar legislation will be introduced in as many states in 2023 — if not more.
More information about applying for an ACRA SOP grant is available online. For questions, contact Eugenia Brandt, ACR Senior Government Affairs Director, or Dillon Harp, ACR Senior State Government Relations Specialist. State radiological chapters are asked to send any scope of practice advocacy success stories to Dillon Harp.
