PA House Passes AI Healthcare Legislation
The bill sets guardrails for AI in patient care and insurance reviews, emphasizing transparency and physician oversight.
Read moreThe Radiology Health Equity Coalition (RHEC) joined MedStar Washington Hospital Center's Mammogram Day and Resource Fair Oct. 17, to promote breast health, connect community members with important screening resources and provide hands-on learning opportunities for future physicians.
Medical students from George Washington University and Howard University represented RHEC throughout the event, engaging with attendees and gaining firsthand experience in patient-centered community health outreach. Their involvement reflects RHEC's commitment to developing future healthcare leaders who understand the importance of meeting patients where they are and addressing barriers to care.
Community-based experiences like Mammogram Day help medical students see how education, outreach and trusted partnerships can improve access to preventive services and support better health outcomes. These opportunities also strengthen students' understanding of health equity and the social factors that influence a person's ability to receive timely care.
