ACR 2026: Evaluating AI Within Your Practice
AI panel highlighted tools for evaluating and integrating AI, stressing data-driven decisions, governance, and AI’s impact on radiology workflows.
Read moreHHS released a request for information Jan. 30, seeking input on diagnostic imaging standards and certification. The objective is to understand current diagnostic quality image-sharing capabilities in the U.S., and whether the agency’s regulations related to EHR certification can help advance exchange of information without reliance on discs or other physical media.
The RFI was issued in part because of prior ACR® comments and input from others recommending that HHS work with stakeholders to help modernize image sharing that leverages existing radiology IT standards and regulatory authorities.
This initiative is timely, as HHS Assistant Secretary for Technology Policy Thomas Keane, MD, MBA, is an interventional radiologist with direct expertise and longstanding advocacy for image exchange.
