ACR® submitted recommendations to CMS regarding the placement and reimbursement of new CPT® codes in the 2027 Hospital Outpatient Prospective Payment System (HOPPS) proposed rule. ACR focused on the ambulatory payment classification (APC) and corresponding payment rate for new CPT codes describing interosseous fiducial marker placement, prostate biopsies and magnetic resonance angiography (MRA) of the head and/or neck.
CMS will review recommendations as it develops the HOPPS proposed rule to be released this summer.
