Read moreACR®, in its ongoing leadership role on the Contractor Advisory Committee (CAC) Engagement Coalition, joined a multi-specialty effort to support H.R. 8500, the Timely Access to Coverage Decisions Act of 2026. The College joined more than 30 national healthcare organizations in August in sending a letter that thanks U.S. Reps. Neal Dunn (R-FL), Nanette Barragán (D-CA) and Claudia Tenney (R-NY) for introducing the legislation and for their leadership regarding Medicare coverage reform.
The legislation would improve transparency, stakeholder engagement and timeliness in the Medicare Local Coverage Determination (LCD) process, a key ACR advocacy priority. The College is committed to working with other healthcare organizations to improve the Medicare coverage process for physicians and patients.
