ACR® Coding Resources are updated to reflect the latest CPT® code changes relevant to radiology for 2026. This update includes the actual codes and descriptors, offering a comprehensive listing of new, revised and deleted CPT codes.

Radiology-related changes include new Category I CPT codes for:

  • Computed tomography angiography (CTA) of the head and neck
  • Computed tomography cerebral perfusion (CTP)
  • Irreversible electroporation (IRE)
  • Thoracic branch endograft services
  • Prostate biopsy
  • Lower extremity (LE) vascular procedures
  • Radiation oncology treatment delivery
  • Superficial radiation therapy
  • Endovascular therapy
  • Sacroiliac (SI) arthrodesis
  • Percutaneous carpal tunnel release

Additionally, new Category III CPT codes will be available for emerging technologies to include:

  • Hemodynamic inferior vena cava (IVC) monitoring
  • Benign prostate ablation using high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU)
  • Laser ablation of breast tumors
  • Neurovascular optical coherence tomography
  • Tissue displacement
  • Tumor treating fields dosimetry
  • Surface mesh volume
