General Radiology Improvement DatabaseSetting the benchmarks for quality improvement

Participating in GRID can help your practice achieve consistent, high-quality radiologic patient care. Learn how in this video with GRID Committee Chair, Phuong-Anh Duong, MD.

How Participation Empowers Excellence

GRID helps you improve patient care by collecting data from imaging facilities and aggregating them to establish benchmarks for quality improvement.

You can use the database to see how your practice compares with similar facilities on turnaround times, patient wait times, incident rates, and other process and outcome measures.

GRID offers participants additional QCDR measures to fulfill reporting requirements for the Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS).

Participation also allows credit for Maintenance of Certification (MOC) Part IV requirements of the American Board of Radiology (ABR).

Get Started With GRID

To participate in GRID, you must:

  • Register your facility. For organizations with multiple facilities, each location needs to be registered separately.
  • Complete and return a signed participation agreement to NRDR.
  • Pay the associated access fees.

Once you’ve completed these steps, you’ll have full access to data submission, quarterly and on-demand reports, benchmark comparisons and more.

Follow our NRDR application process to get started.
