ACR Digital Mammography QC Manual Resources
The 2018 ACR® Digital Mammography (DM) Quality Control Manual is publicly available for download on the Medical Physics Resources page. It is intended to guide the development and implementation of your quality control program for digital mammography imaging equipment, including Digital Breast Tomosynthesis (DBT) and detailed responsibilities of the radiologist, technologist and medical physicist.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has determined that facilities may use the manual for QC of the 2D and DBT applications of these units and recommends that facilities follow manufacturer QC procedures for contrast enhancement applications. Accreditation submissions must follow instructions in the Program Requirements.
