How to Cite the ACR Reporting and Data Systems (RADS) Publications and Content

Find the RADS item you want to cite, open it to determine the content title, and include the committee and corresponding URL.

We suggest the following format when citing published RADS content:

  1. For a journal publication: Use the citation provided by the journal. For example:

Turkbey B, Rosenkrantz AB, Haider MA, et al. Prostate Imaging Reporting and Data System Version 2.1: 2019 Update of Prostate Imaging Reporting and Data System Version 2. Eur Urol. 2019;76(3):340-351. doi:10.1016/j.eururo.2019.02.033

  2. For other web published RADS content: <Committee Name>*. Content Title. Available at: <URL>. American College of Radiology. Accessed on <DATE>. For example:

American College of Radiology Committee on Lung-RADS®. Lung-RADS Assessment Categories 2022. Available at https://www.acr.org/-/media/ACR/Files/RADS/Lung-RADS/Lung-RADS-2022.pdf. Accessed on January 1, 2023.
