State legislatures see hundreds of scope of practice (SOP) bills introduced each year during their legislative session. Now is a great opportunity for state radiological chapters to review what their states did in 2023 and to look ahead at what may occur in 2024. The American College of Radiology Association® (ACRA®) State Scope of Practice Fund can assist chapters with their advocacy efforts when battling harmful non-physician SOP expansion.
State radiological chapters are encouraged to review the criteria and apply for a SOP grant as soon as possible in order to prepare for their 2024 state legislative sessions.
The Texas Radiological Society (TRS) used their ACRA SOP grant to engage with a digital media advertising firm and conduct a targeted digital media campaign focused on raising the awareness of radiology and the importance of being properly trained and equipped to care for patients.
