The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) announced that 2021 Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) final score previews are available via the Quality Payment Program (QPP) website. The final score preview period is a new phase of MIPS performance feedback intended to provide more transparency and improve the communications process.
The threshold for a neutral payment adjustment for 2021 was 60 points out of 100. Any score higher than 60 will be eligible for a positive adjustment, however the final payment adjustment percentages will not be announced until the full performance feedback results are posted in August.
