In response to the national public health emergency that was declared concerning the COVID-19 pandemic, six new International Classification of Diseases, Tenth Revision, Clinical Modification (ICD-10-CM) diagnosis codes and 21 new International Classification of Diseases, Tenth Revision, Procedure Coding System (ICD-10-PCS) procedure codes will be available to report the introduction or infusion of therapeutics, including monoclonal antibodies and vaccines for COVID-19 treatment. The new codes will go into effect on Jan. 1, 2021.
