The Coronary Artery Disease Reporting and Data System (CAD-RADS™) is the work of a multi-society, multidisciplinary collaborative writing group with the goal of improving communication of coronary CT angiography (CTA) results to referring physicians. CAD-RADS standardizes the reporting of CTA data and improves quality for patients worldwide. CAD-RADS is a decision-making tool that decreases variation in reporting and aides in patient management and outcome.

The writing group was composed of four professional societies: the Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography (the lead society), the American College of Radiology (co-author), the North American Society for Cardiovascular Imaging (co-author), and the American College of Cardiology (which endorsed this publication).
