  • Understand the history of regulatory oversight in the United States
  • Provide examples of past policy decisions which have had favorable, unfavorable and/or unexpected downstream effects on our profession
  • Establish an approach to tackling present day challenges with an eye on short-, mid- and long-term consequences of our actions
  • Relate these concepts to approaches to evaluate evolving payment policy around innovation

Ezequiel “Zeke” Silva III, MD, FACR, FSIR, FRBMA, RCC

Dr. Silva serves as Chair of the AMA RVS Update Committee, also known as the RUC, and is the immediate Past Chair of the ACR Commission on Economics and the AMA Digital Medicine Payment Advisory Group. He is the Medical Director of Radiology at the Methodist Texsan Hospital and a member of the Board of Directors for the South Texas Radiology Group in San Antonio, TX. He is an Adjunct Professor of Radiology at UT Health-San Antonio.
