Welcoming a New Senior Advisor for Medical Physics

Dustin Gress, MS, DABR, DABSNM, joins the ACR after serving more than six years in the Department of Imaging Physics at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, where he provided clinical support to interventional radiology, nuclear medicine, mammography, CT and other areas.

Dustin GressPrior to joining MD Anderson, Dustin began his career at Upstate Medical Physics, a consulting firm based in Western New York State, where he provided medical physics services to a wide range of clients: rural imaging clinics, community hospitals and health systems, and large academic hospitals.

“I am humbled and thrilled to join the ACR. There is tremendous opportunity for data-driven practice enhancement in radiology, and I can’t wait to support the College in these developments in addition to all of the other important work being done in Quality and Safety,” Dustin says.

Of his predecessor, Penny F. Butler, MS, FACR, FAAPM, Dustin says, “I’ve known Penny for about a decade through the American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM), and she is an outstanding professional. Penny has been so kind and such a great exemplar to our professional community, and I greatly appreciate all she has done.”

Dustin has extensive experience supporting ACR Accreditation programs from the clinical side and a solid record of professional service to the field of radiology through AAPM, ACR and the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
