BelloJacqueline A. Bello, MD, FACR, chair of the American College of Radiology Quality and Safety Commission has been re-elected to the American Medical Association (AMA) Council on Medical Education. The election was held today during the AMA 2017 Annual Meeting in Chicago.

Nominated by the ACR, and endorsed by the Radiological Society of North America, the American Society of Neuroradiology and the AMA Section Council on Radiology, Bello was re-elected to the same AMA post she has held since 2013.

Bello’s campaign focused on her strong background as an educator and mentor.

She has received “Teacher of the Year” awards from Columbia University and Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

Bello served as director of the Montefiore Medical Center and Albert Einstein College of Medicine neuroradiology fellowship program for 23 years and mentors junior faculty who now direct training programs.

Her term expires in June, 2021, at which time she will be eligible for re-election.
