Call for Candidates
The ACR YPS Executive Committee is now accepting nominations for available positions, including Vice Chair, Communications Liaison, and RFS Liaison. To be eligible for election, candidates must be a member of the section and able to serve their term within the time proposed as part of the membership requirement. Each member of the EC will serve a one year term with the ability to renew their term for a total of 2 years.
All candidates must complete the Candidate Information Form by April 20, 2017 for consideration. The YPS Executive Committee will review all candidates, and elections will be held Sunday, May 21 at ACR 2017.
The ACR YPS is led by a seven-member executive committee with the shared goal of connecting young physicians and those early in their careers to empower these members to get involved in the ACR. Members of the ACR YPS Executive Committee are the representative voice of over 5,000 ACR members, and communicating their opinions and values on current issues that face the College is imperative.
Elections & Voting
Election of all officers occurs at the ACR annual meeting. Each elected officer serves a 1‐year term beginning at the conclusion of the annual meeting, which ends at the next annual meeting, with the exception of the Vice‐Chair/Chair-Elect, who serves a two‐year term as outlined in the position descriptions. Candidates should review the ACR Electioneering policy prior to submitting a candidate information form.
Candidates will declare their candidacy in advance of the meeting via an online form. Candidates are required to submit a high-resolution headshot when submitting their candidate information form.
Candidate speeches are limited to 2 minutes and will be given on Sunday, May 21.
