How do I know if I’m eligible to apply for Member-in-Training membership?

ACR members-in-training have access to all ACR member benefits as well as resident-specific resources including the Resident and Fellow Section (RFS), a residents-only discussion forum on Engage and free registration to the resident meeting at the ACR annual meeting.

When does my Member-in-Training status change to paid membership?

You are eligible for paid membership when you are board certified by the ABR. If you are going into Fellowship, please contact the membership department at 1-800-347-7748 or membership@acr.org to continue your free membership.

How do I update my contact information?

You can log in to acr.org and go to the “My ACR” page to update your information. You can also email us at membership@acr.org. If your membership was given to you by your residency program, we suggest you log in to “My ACR” and include your non-residency email or phone number so that we can ensure your free membership continues through your Fellowship years.

I’m going into Fellowship. Do I still get free membership?

Yes. If you are going to fellow in-training your free membership status continues throughout your training. Once you secure your first paid position, you can continue your membership for only $70. The College supplements your membership dues for your first four years after residency and fellowship. This graduated structure is in place to help you start your career with the support of the ACR community. For more information, please visit the Young and Early Career Physician section.
