Berlin Headshot

Jonathan Berlin, MD, MBA, FACR is a member of the body imaging section at North Shore University Health System in Evanston Illinois and Clinical Professor of Radiology at the University of Chicago School of Medicine. He has authored or co-authored over 45 peer reviewed publications and presented over 275 lectures on clinical and economics topics relating to radiology. Dr. Berlin has directed courses for the RSNA, the ARRS and the ACR.

Chew, MHA, CMPE, FRBMA is a healthcare thought leader with direct experience as a Consultant, Hospital System VP - Director of Practice Management and Practice CEO with over 35 years’ experience. His consultancy focuses on medical imaging with demonstrated expertise assisting physicians and health systems with leadership, operations, governance and strategic positioning solutions.
Burnes headshot Ted Burnes, MPA, is Senior Director of Political Affairs and has run political operations for the American College of Radiology for the past 17 years. Under his leadership, Burnes has turned RADPAC from a half-a-million dollar a year political action committee (PAC) into a PAC that has exceeded $1 million a year in each of the last 10 years. RADPAC consistently ranks among the top healthcare provider PACs in both contributions raised and contributions made. Burnes possesses a thorough knowledge of campaign finance law having worked for the Federal Election Commission and has more than 20 years of experience in fundraising and political consulting. He has worked both as a political pollster and consultant on numerous successful political campaigns at the local, state and federal levels, including high-profile Presidential campaigns. He has also lobbied Members of Congress and state legislators on numerous legislative issues, with a particular focus on health policy.
Headshot Dr. Davis W. Kenneth Davis, Jr. is an attorney and partner in the Katten law firm.  He provides counsel to health care providers (with a focus in radiology) for the structuring, growth and ongoing operations of all types of businesses and relationships including initial business model development, analysis of regulatory, compliance and reimbursement issues, negotiation of contracts, various types of financings, and mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures.  In particular, over the years he has worked extensively representing radiology groups across from physician practice management companies, other consolidators and private equity investors.  He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Chicago and his law degree with honor from DePaul University College of Law.
Howard Fleishon, MD, FACR Howard B. Fleishon, MD, MMM, FACR, is an Associate Professor of Radiology at Emory University and currently serves as the Chair of the Board of Chancellors of ACR. Other current ACR positions include Chair of Government Relations Commission, Chair of the International Commission, and Chair of the AIRP Board. Originally from Philadelphia, he went to medical school at Temple, completed his internship at Presbyterian, and his radiology residency at Albert Einstein. Howard spent the majority of his career in Phoenix as a clinical radiologist and practice leader. Throughout his career, Howard’s interests have centered on leadership and management in radiology. He has served in a variety of roles at ACR, including the Council Steering Committee, Chair of the Practice Leaders Committee, Council Speaker, Chair of RADPAC Board, Chair of Task Force on Corporatization, Chair of Task Force on Certification, Secretary-Treasurer and Vice Chair Board of Chancellors. He was also the founding Chair for the Radiology Advocacy Network.
Bethany Geiger, MBA serves as Director of Coding Operations for MSN Healthcare Solutions, a privately-held national medical billing and practice management firm.  Bethany holds a Bachelor’s of Science from The Ohio State University and a Master’s of Business Administration from Capella University.  Bethany has 16 plus years’ experience in medical coding and billing management with her primary focus being radiology followed by pathology and radiation oncology.  At MSN, Bethany is responsible for identifying and implementing coding operations processes to maintain coding accuracy, efficiency and compliance.  Bethany has been a member of the Radiology Business Management Association (RBMA) for more than 8 years and currently serves on the Education Subcommittee.
Jimenez headshot Juan J. Jimenez, MD is the Associate Medical Director of Radiology  (Department Head) at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, Illinois. Dr. Jimenez practices general radiology and body imaging with special interests in low dose lung cancer screening, quality/safety initiatives, and physician wellness/burnout prevention. In addition to his clinical duties, Dr. Jimenez is a Clinical Associate Professor of Radiology at the University of Illinois College of Medicine where he developed and continues to coordinate the Medical Imaging course for second year medical students. He currently sits on the Board of Directors of Health Alliance Medical Plans and is member of Carle’s Physicians Wellness Committee. 
Headshot Dr. Lee Ryan K. Lee, MD, MBA, is an Associate Professor at the Sydney Kimmel College at Thomas Jefferson University. He serves as Vice Chair of Quality and Safety in the Department of Radiology for the Einstein Healthcare Network. He is also the Section Chief of Neuroradiology and Magnetic Resonance Medical Director at Einstein. Dr. Lee has extensive expertise in healthcare economics and policy, serving on many national committees in this arena including for the American College of Radiology and the American Society of Neuroradiology. He also is the AMA Alternate RUC Advisor for the ASNR and a member of the AMA RUC Multi-Specialty Points of Comparison Workgroup.
Munns headshot Lindsay I. Muns, MBA, MHSA joined US Radiology in November of 2018 as the practice CEO for Charlotte Radiology.  Lindsay has extensive healthcare leadership experience that includes recent roles as Head of Strategy and Operations for the Consumer Health Products division of Aetna as well as Chief Administrative Officer at Transformant Healthcare Solutions (THS), a physician-led management services organization.  Prior to THS, she held leadership positions at several large health systems including Cleveland Clinic and Memorial Hermann.  Lindsay holds a B.A. from Stanford University as well as a Master of Health Services Administration and an MBA from University of Michigan.  She resides in Charlotte with her husband, Scott, two young children - Lincoln (8) and Hadley (6), and her dogs Lola and Sam.
Headshot Dr. Naeem Mohammad Naeem, MD, FCCP, FACR, Colonel, Medical Corps, United States Army, is the Director of the Armed Forces Radiobiology Research Institute (AFRRI) in Bethesda, MD.  As such, he is responsible for preserving and protecting the health and performance of U.S. military personnel operating in potential radiological and nuclear contaminated multi-domain battle spaces or urban environments; through research, education, and operational training that advance understanding of the effects of ionizing radiation and development of medical countermeasures to tackle nuclear and radiological threats posed by non-state actors and near-peer adversaries, as well as providing rapidly deployable radiation medicine expertise in response to a radiological or nuclear event domestically or abroad. Dr. Naeem practices clinical radiology at Defense Health Agency’s Fort Belvoir Community Hospital in the National Capital Region. His interests lie in the medical aspects of asymmetric warfare, combat radiology & battlefield imaging, international security environment and CBRNE disaster preparedness. He is also the co-chair of the military subcommittee of the American College of Radiology protecting, representing and promoting Military Radiology’s interests and image at the national level.
Oppe Headshot Kelly Oppe, MBA, R.T.(R) is a health care professional with operations management experience and skills that span across integrated health care delivery systems.  She started her career in 2002 as an imaging technologist and is currently serving as the Imaging Director for Carle Foundation Hospital.  Kelly obtained her Master’s in Business from the University of Illinois in December 2019 while working on various strategic initiatives throughout the Carle Health Care System. 
Patel headshot Samir B.Patel, MD, FACR, is a fellowship trained breast radiologist with Radiology, Inc. in North Central Indiana. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Beacon Health System, the largest health system in North Central Indiana. Dr. Patel is the founder and director of Radiology, Inc.'s Value Management Program and has given multiple national presentations related to classifying, quantifying, and presenting non-interpretative value-added activities performed by radiologists.

Barbara F. Rubel, MBA, FRBMA, Senior Vice President, Marketing and Client Services, provides comprehensive support services for MSN Clients from the Request for Proposal (“RFP”) process through account implementation.  She holds a Master of Business Administration degree in Marketing from Mercer University Atlanta and a Master of Music from Ohio University.  Barbara’s expertise is in business development, health care marketing, managed care contract negotiations, and legislative and regulatory issues.  Prior to joining the MSN team, she provided health care marketing services to statewide radiology networks, sole physician practitioners, physician groups, and specialty physician networks as a marketing consultant.  Barbara is a Past President of the Radiology Business Management Association (RBMA) (2008-2009), an organization she has most recently served as Chair, Federal Affairs Committee.  She is a Fellow of the RBMA (FRBMA) and has also served as RBMA’s Southern Director (2003-2005), Secretary (2005-2007), President-Elect (2006-2008), and Chair, Technology Task Force (2010-2011).  Barbara is a Past President of the Georgia Radiology Business Management Association (GRBMA) and is Immediate Past President of the Florida RBMA. She is an active member of the Healthcare Business Management Association (HBMA), a contributor to the Journal of the American College of Radiology (JACR), the RBMA Bulletin, Diagnostic Imaging, and Imaging Economics.  Barbara can be reached at brubel@msnllc.com or (904) 657-2038.

Dana Smetherman, MD, MPH, MBA, FACR is a Diagnostic Radiologist who specializes in breast imaging.  She is Chair of the Department of Radiology and an Associate Medical Director for the Medical Specialties at Ochsner Medical Center – New Orleans. Dr. Smetherman also chairs the Breast Commission of the American College of Radiology (ACR) and is a member of the Board of Chancellors of the ACR.  She has served as President of the Radiological Society of Louisiana, ACR Councilor from Louisiana, Board Member for the National Accrediting Program of Breast Centers, Chair of the Technical Exhibits Committee of the Radiological Society of North America, Advisor to the Current Procedural Terminology Panel of the American Medical Association, Chair of the Breast Economics Committee of the ACR, and Board Member and Schools and Scholarships Chair for the Harvard Club of Louisiana. Dr. Smetherman has given numerous presentations and has multiple publications in the areas of breast imaging and health care economics.

Robert T. Still, FRBMA, has been the executive director of the Radiology Business Management Association since 2017. He is a past president and Fellow of the RBMA. From 1992–2014, Bob was practice manager of Lancaster Radiology Associates (LRA) - a 30-physician medical practice providing diagnostic radiology services to Penn Medicine Lancaster General Hospital, the MRI Group, Lancaster P.E.T. Partnership, and Lancaster Cardiac Imaging Associates. Prior to joining LRA, he was Director of Government and Community Relations for the Medical Center of Delaware (1990–1992) and executive irector of the Associated Builders and Contractors of Delaware (1981–1990). Most recently he served as the chief clerk, the chief administrative officer, of Lancaster County Pennsylvania and CEO of Brain Orthopedic Spine Specialists. Mr. Still is a graduate of Indiana University (BS, Education, 1976) and Penn State University (Master in Management in Health Care Administration, 1998).

Bill Thorwarth William Thorwarth, Jr, MD, FACR, is the Chief Executive Officer of the American College of Radiology, assuming that role in April 2014. After receiving his undergraduate and medical degrees from Dartmouth College and Medical School, he trained in internal medicine at Penn State in Hershey PA.  He completed his radiology residency at the University of North Carolina, serving as chief resident his final year. He practiced interventional and diagnostic radiology as a  member of Catawba Radiological Associates for nearly 30 years. Dr. Thorwarth became actively involved with the American College of Radiology in 1987, initially at the state and subsequently at the national level. After initially being involved in the development of ACR Standards (now Practice Parameters and Technical Standards), he shifted his emphasis to Economics and Health Policy, chairing the Committee on Coding and Nomenclature while also assuming the position of ACR advisor to the AMA Relative Value System Update Committee (RUC). He was then elected to the ACR Board of Chancellors where he chaired the Commission on Economics for 5 years before assuming the role of ACR President from 2003-2004.

Linda Wilgus, CPA, CME,  is the executive director/CFO of Northwest Radiology Network. She currently serves as the President of RBMA and previously served as Federal Affairs Chair and has held other board positions with Executive Women in Healthcare, Indiana Medical Group Managers Association, Indiana Radiology Business Managers Association and the Cancer Support Community.  She is also an active volunteer with Gennesaret Free Clinics and previously volunteered for the American Cancer Society Cancer Prevention Study. She is a 2013 graduate of the Richard G. Lugar Leadership Program.
