Effective for services between January 1, 2016 and December 31 2016, The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services has amended payment files issued with the CY 2016 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule (MPFS). Among the many changes includes the assignment of a PC/TC Indicator of 1 to the CPT/HCPCS Code 77014 (CT guidance for placement of radiation therapy fields). The assignment of PC/TC Indicator 1 identifies the code as a diagnostic test or radiology service. Previously CPT/HCPCS code 77014 was assigned a PC/TC Indicator of 2 identifying it as a professional component only code which describes a code for which the technical component and the global test have their own associated codes.
