CMS Issues Guidance on Provider Enrollment Revalidation

In accordance with provisions in the Affordable Care Act requiring providers and suppliers to revalidate their Medicare enrollment information, The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has established due dates by which a provider’s Medicare enrollment revalidation must reach the Medicare Administrative Contractor (MAC). The initial round of revalidations has come to a close. In an effort to streamline current and future revalidation cycles, CMS has implemented several processing improvements. This current cycle of revalidation applies to those providers and suppliers that are currently and actively enrolled.

For details regarding due dates, large group coordination guidelines, the submission of unsolicited revalidation applications, or other revalidation issues please see MLN Matters article SE1605.
